Today was just an ordinary day, if driving along the Oregon coast for 165 miles is ordinary! With my motor home and "toad" (term for a car being towed) stretching out almost 45 feet, I find it difficult to pull off the road at scenic overlooks and historical markers. Often they have signs saying no RV's and trailers which helps. I have to be very careful since I'm unable to back up my rig without disconnecting the car. I often look for a shopping center or super market parking lot to pull into. Sometimes I can find a side street to park on. On the other hand since I sit so tall on the road, I get a nice view, if I can take the time to look. I did stop at Bandon for a break. Using Yelp on my iPhone I found a sea food place with many positive reviews. The fish & chips enticed me to enter and spend too much money for an average meal. The reviewers must all be relatives.

I continued to the edge of Florence where I stayed in a secluded RV park. It was very large but my section was very quiet. I had no one within about 150' or so. It had been drizzling off & on ever since I'd entered Oregon (surprise) and so the gravel roads in the RV park were a bit of a mess. I find I'm not quite set up for rain and keeping the interior of my motor home clean. The upside is that it was green & lush with little light getting through. A contrast from Sonora.
