| Not Union Hill coffee but very good. |
Today was great. The weather was spectacular with clear skies and temperatures in the lower 60's & less wind than some recent days. I'm still trying to be a California guy by wearing shorts and a tee shirt. I drove into Florence, found a Safeway parking lot & parked. I got my bike out of the car and
set off to explore Old Town Florence. The old part is only a few block long with cafes, coffee shops & stores for tourists. I love riding my bike around to explore new areas because it's easy to stop and look at things. I decided I needed a latte but ended up with that plus a piece of freshly baked berry pie.
This establishment also roasts their own coffee beans. I would have like to talk to the barista a little longer but people kept coming in to order so I was forced to leave and continue my ride.

The bridge over the Siuslaw River was built during the depression as part of the New Deal to help put people back to work. Opened in 1936 it allowed people travel the Coast Highway System. Tourism increased by 72% the first year!
I continued north a total of 125 miles until I arrived at Tillamook where I'm spending the night.
