Vacaville to Eureka

September 2-3

I spend Friday night & Saturday night at an RV park in Eureka. I attended church and even went to their potluck just to practice talking to people I don't know! I don't find that easy. The potluck was unique in that one or two people made the entire meal and members brought desserts. The food was quiet good and I sat at a table full of older women. I was surprised to learn that the woman sitting closest to me graduated from high school the same year as me! In the afternoon, I spent several hours riding my bike around town and discovered that they have a quaint old section of town.

I did not stay here nor was I even invited into this private club. Apparently they didn't know I was in town.
This RV park is part of the county fairgrounds and is typically doesn't have the greatest facilities. The host was friendly and is also in charge of the horse barn. Again a few overnighters and some longer term  residents. Some older rigs and a smattering of $500K rigs also. They claim that your unit must be 2007 or newer to stay here.
